Im sorry, but this “sandbagging” change thats been made is highly unfair. I, for one, never saw the tactic mex warriors used as sandbagging. In fact i applaud them for using their brains and using HH’s own guidelines of a minimum team size to formulate a smart, winning tactic.
Now here’s where it hurts me and my team:
We arent so blessed with the mex warriors brilliance of ideas. My team are all learning at different rates. So we’ve had some players come and go, all the while our power is increasing as a whole, even though some players have dropped for whatever reason and our numbers have decreased to 18. We’re a respectable top 20 in advanced league (5-10m), some of us are over 500k and some are not. We often win our round, not always, but We never dominate from day 1, usually its a steady climb from 3rd or 4th thanks to consistent employment of our ever-adapting tactics. But they’re pretty basic tactics, so i wont have to explain them.
As of this round though, We are forced to play against specialist teams (10-15m) while still scoring in the advanced league. We’ve ended up in this position due to natural causes, although admittedly, wanting to finish the seasons in the same league We started in and worked so hard in does play a part. That seems honorable to me, yet punished nevertheless.
As a whole though, in my opinion, the term “sandbagging” needs to go.
The term “M.E.T.A” means Most Effective Tactic Availalbe, and with time availability changes.
There’s no rule to say you have to field i team of 5 in pvp, just like There’s no rule to say you have to field a team of 25 in war. If the Most Effective tactic today is to field a team of 4 - then adapt - field a team of 4! The first time i was ever beaten with a 5 man by a solo castellan (pre double cannon buff btw) my jaw dropped and i applauded that guy for taking the time to calculate the highscool level math that is the essence of this game. Good on him.
Seriously, you people just need to learn to adapt. Its a fact of life. This whole business of complaining to the devs every time something happens that you dont understand (and therefore dont like) is exactly the kind of toxicity that will bring a game like this to its knees.
Please devs, stop punishing smart players simply because those who are unwilling to grow are in the majority! I know its about popular opinion, but We also know common sense isnt common and therefore not popular!
Im sorry to the devs whose days were made When another post thanked them. I dont wish to ruin anyones day. But i must beg you to be wary of responding to popular opinion and acting so hastily. This game is on a growing mathematical scale, so if you are forced to continually undo something that stems from the root of the algorithm, youll be forever undoing all your new hard work, with the workload constantly increasing.
It will be like trying to unravel a ball of yarn while its being balled at an exponentially faster rate. Eventally youll be tangled in it, twisted and encompassed until there is no light or oxygen remaining.

You’re telling others not to complain, yet the irony of this post is too much.
AW is in its infancy and the community is giving feedbacks and making recommendations. What the developers choose to do to make the game more enjoyable for everyone is up to them.

It’s because majority of red skill has 900k+ plus teams with only 17 memebers. That’s the issue they are trying to avoid. That’s clearly sandbagging in AW
This friend seems to be a fan of the Mexs, taking into account this wonderful way to match the alliances, we see that the Mexs are not as bright as he mentions them, we can only realize that wars are fairer for the other alliances, the Developers have done a magnificent job. and I think most of us agree with this new pairing system

Please note that in our union such a team composition is constant. And it does not change before the start of the war.
They still call it sandbagging, so I rest my case. Complaining to them did not solve any problem. It only brought insults. SMH , going back to fortnite soon. I’m not enjoying this anymore.
Im sorry, but you seem to have misconstrued my post. All ive attempted to do is explain to a largely misinformed community that “sandbagging” is within the matchmaking rules of the game, and therefore a legal, legitimate tactic.
As for AW being in its infancy - well thats not exactly correct either. This game model exists in many games across many platforms. Only some aspects in this particular game are new and some arent gelling well with the base game model. The biggest issue with the AW mode itself is that a large portion of the community have never seen one before, and therefore still havent finished working out how to play. There are still members in my own team who cant calculate pph.
Which is a perfect seguay into my next point, Which is: its almost unbelieveable how many people (in this game, and in life) dont believe math is important.
