After years of fighting in wars that claimed to protect peace, Diesel came to see the true cost of conflict. Medals no longer meant anything in the face of destroyed cities, separated families, and lives sacrificed in the name of political interests. Disillusioned with governments and institutions, Diesel abandoned the army and disappeared from official records, going on to work in clandestine operations to rescue victims of forgotten wars around the world. During one of these missions, a guerrilla group invaded a gigantic Heronium plant. The invaders threatened to trigger a chain reaction that would exterminate millions of civilians in nearby regions.
Diesel and his team managed to contain most of the terrorists and evacuate almost all the hostages. However, at the height of the chaos, Dr. Elena Volkov, one of the scientists responsible for the plant, refused to flee. She believed there was still a chance to stabilize the reactor core before the explosion. The problem was simple: someone would need to enter the heart of the reactor manually. A suicide mission. Without hesitation, Diesel volunteered. While Elena tried to contain the reaction from the outside, Diesel traversed the core of the plant, enduring impossible levels of Heronium radiation directly into his body. The energy burned his skin, destroyed his organs, and consumed every fiber of his being, but he kept going until he managed to manually restart the containment system. The explosion was averted. Millions survived. But Diesel disappeared along with the collapse of the facility. His body was found days later, still alive by a miracle impossible to explain. He remained in a coma for decades, kept in absolute secrecy by organizations that feared what had happened to him. When he finally awoke, the world was different. The wars had changed. The cities had changed. The people he knew no longer existed. But the most terrifying thing… was himself. His body hadn’t aged a single day. Heronium had irreversibly altered his biology. Diesel awoke stronger, faster, and virtually immune to disease and extreme conditions. His reflexes surpassed human limits, his resilience seemed supernatural, and an unknown energy constantly coursed beneath his skin. Now, lost in an era he doesn’t recognize, Diesel must discover what he has truly become, while trying to find purpose in a world where everyone he knew has become just a memory.
