Lancer_overview

Lancer, the Disruptive Grenadier, is a shock-and-awe specialist working for Kurtz’ Lawgivers. Armed with an arsenal of grenades that provide buffs to allies and debuffs to enemies, plus an Assault Shotgun firing in two-round bursts, Lancer can quickly turn the tide of battle.

:globe_with_meridians: Alliance War - Changes Coming Soon!

Season 6 of Alliance War will include lots of great changes based off of player feedback! We’re still working out the details, but some of the changes will include:

  • Scouting improvements
  • New “Infiltrator” Improvement
  • New Marker Types
  • Reduced Wars per Season

…and many more! Keep your eyes peeled for an in-depth Alliance War post closer to Season 6.

Grab your friends and assault City Hall for the Co-op Raid Vice Grip, for a chance to win awesome rewards, including Shiv’s exclusive skin, Vice!

Take on enemies and collect Vice Tokens:

  • Level 35+ = 50 Vice Tokens
  • Level 45+ = 100 Vice Tokens
  • Level 55+ = 125 Vice Tokens
  • Level 70+ = 150 Vice Tokens
  • Level 85+ = 175 Vice Tokens
  • Level 90+ = 200 Vice Tokens

Use your Vice Tokens to open Vice Crates, which costs 200 tokens. Vice Tokens and the Vice Crate will expire October 31st, 12PM PST, so make sure to use them before then!

The Vice Crate continues the tradition of having great prizes, including Shiv’s exclusive skin Vice and Gilded Tokens!

NOTE: You’ll need to have a Team Level of 40 to unlock the Skins function and equip your Vice Skin if you win it. If you win the skin from Team Level 35-39, you’ll still own it, but you won’t be able to equip it until Team Level 40.

Francis Francoise

Francoise’s ability to support her team gets improved this month with a Critical Hit Chance buff to Guerrilla Warfare!

  • Guerrilla Warfare now grants a Critical Hit Chance of 15%

Halo Halo

Lightning can strike twice, and sometimes, it can keep on thundering without stopping. To improve team diversity and game balance, we’ve lowered Halo’s voltage a bit.

  • Lightning Rod Activation chance lowered from 50% to 40%
  • Lightning Rod Damage lowered by 10%

Keel Keel

Shields up! Adjustments to Keel’s Ablative Armor provide more utility to her teammates.

  • Ablative Armor Armor grant increased by ~50%
  • Ablative Armor Health activation decreased from 75% to 60% Health
  • Weapon reload time lowered from 2200 to 1800

Phoenix Phoenix

Phoenix is our Buff Focus for October! The fire starter gets improvements galore to three of her Skills!

  • Incinerate now adds a Disorient effect to the target
  • Matchstick chance to deal additional Damage and Silence increased from 70% to 80%
  • Matchstick is now an Area of Effect explosion instead of a single target Skill
  • Phoenix Flame Health granted upon Revival increased from 70% to 75%

Ryker Ryker

Ryker gets a buff this month to bring him more in line with his status in the story of Hero Hunters.

  • Battle Tactics Attack Damage boost increased by 300%
  • Battle Tactics Critical Hit Chance increased from 4% to 15%

Shank

With the release of Shivs, Shank’s true potential is revealed!

  • Eye for an Eye effects are also granted to Shivs if she is present as an Ally
  • Partner in Crime effects are also granted to Shivs if she is present as an Ally

every update y’all are making this game better lately. so much variety in PVP now, no more of the same meta every other match. i don’t see drake or flatline at all anymore! but these hero changes are all perfect for more variability. only prob is gonna be kurtz, with the amount of frags given out in AW the flood gates are weeks from opening, and once everyone has him it’s gonna be a pain to play in the high power ranks because we will have a meta ultra hero on every team. we need a UAF counter to kurtz, better than wesson. one that actually threatens kurtz in pvp. but good job!! thanks for your hard work

I like the look of this. First thoughts:

AW Changes

  • Fewer wars per season sounds great, if only because my phone only fits three wars on the leaderboard screen :stuck_out_tongue: Curious how this affects the “drop the lowest” scoring setup.
  • Scouting changes will be interesting too now that surprise attack is a key part of war. Hopefully this isn’t just a way to facilitate more gold expenditure via scouting, but we’ll see.
  • I don’t personally like improvements at all, because I think it overcomplicates an otherwise very clean and straightforward game mode. Hopefully infiltrator doesn’t further complicate things too much (looking at you sneak attack).
  • More marker types will be a godsend. Very highly requested change and I’ll be looking forward to its implementation.

Shivs Skin

  • Disappointing that we’re continuing to see the RNG reward model for the skin, but I guess it’s inevitable as a justification for new skins.
  • I assume this will follow the same format as Carabina & Xianjiu with an existing co-op raid being recycled (lazy boooooo).
  • Also - why is her name the plural form of shiv…? It rolls off the tongue with all the grace of a newborn giraffe.

Balancing

  • Francoise hahaha WOW. As a die-hard Francoise fan, I’ve already begun imagining all the fun I’m going to have with this :slight_smile:
  • The Halo nerf is like waving the inevitable goodbye to an old friend. We all knew it was coming. She’s been the powerhouse that’s been ‘old reliable’ since the inception of platinum skills and I think it’s a healthy change to hit her with a reasonable bit of reality. Good change.
  • Keel changes are meh. The faster reload means she’ll be getting her bronze off faster though, but other than that, not much here.
  • Phoenix is more interesting. The Incinerate disorient especially. We’ll see how this plays out but I’m not convinced it’ll be enough to propel her into commonplace lineups.
  • Ryker is getting a massive damage boost, wow. Another big critical chance boost too. Hopefully he sees some more action, but he doesn’t really have any particular niche, so I’m not sure that will happen.
  • Shank’s expected boost from the Shivs pairing is here. Nothing to comment really.

Halo is a good move from the list of heroes getting worked this month. Ryker should be interesting to see based on his new stats. I’m glad to see the devs putting in the work in each new update. The skin releases are what they are, can’t say I agree, however, I won’t ever complain about getting MK’s out of a crate. :slight_smile: With alliance wars, I would recommend you guys keep it somewhat close to how it is. Don’t mess w/ it too much.

I have a few questions in general but also the update regarding:

  1. Why (at a glance) only the new heroes get a skin? There are enough other heroes who do not have skin yet. (Odachi, Brogan, Cinder, Yanlong, Kunoichi … just to name a few.) There are also heroes with 2 skins (Mauler and Hardscope) Do it like Matador 2 skins (Viva and Mariachi) with different values and I will not say anything more.

  2. Why are there 4 * heroes in the gilded box when I can get 5 * and even 7 * heroes from the heroic box.

  3. In the shop, there are the special offers, including the “special starter offers”. I am now 596 days old, so no beginner anymore. Please give me an option to turn these offers off.

  4. If so much changes on the AW, will the rewards change as well?

I like the balances made to the heroes. However, I think the single RNG skin events are terrible. Throw in 2-3 more skins with the featured skin, and your community will find the events more enjoyable. Also, making them actually accessible apart from limited time luck would be a rather kind gesture.

I would love to understand how you get to rank top 50 and only get 50k bucks that’s unreal top 50 even top 100 should be well more better rewards most time consuming event and you get trash for rewards …
