Xianjiu, the “Terracotta Terminator,” is a powerful Mid-Line Hero who can summon terracotta clones to fight for him, growing in power with each warrior under his control. When the chips are down, he can drain their essence to boost his Health and Damage!

Community Clash is coming! Take on a custom Min’s Danger Simulator made by the Community from August 31st to September 21st!

Lots of prizes will be up for grabs, including a special portrait and an exclusive skin for Hardscope, Battle Hardened!

:amphora: Xianjiu Skin event - Terror-cotta Reigns

Grab your friends and get to the Dojo for the Co-op Raid Terror-cotta Reigns, for a chance to win awesome rewards, including Xianjiu’s exclusive skin, Terracotta Titan!

Take on enemies and collect Titan Tokens:

  • Level 35+ = 100 Titan Tokens
  • Level 45+ = 175 Titan Tokens
  • Level 55+ = 200 Titan Tokens
  • Level 70+ = 275 Titan Tokens
  • Level 85+ = 350 Titan Tokens
  • Level 90+ = 400 Titan Tokens

Use your Titan Tokens to open Titan Crates, which cost 200 tokens. Titan Tokens and the Titan Crate will expire Sep 23rd, 12pm PST, so make sure to use them before then!

The Titan Crate includes tons of great prizes, including Xianjiu’s exclusive skin, Terracotta Titan, and Gilded Tokens!

NOTE: You’ll need to have a Team Level of 40 to unlock the Skins function and equip your Terracotta Titan Skin if you win it. If you win the skin from Team Level 35-39, you’ll still own it, but you won’t be able to equip it until Team Level 40.

Terror-Cotta Reigns will be available from Sep. 13th to Sep 20th!

  • HQ Bonuses have been decreased to keep players from only engaging near the center of each map while still providing protection on the home front. Push your way to the enemy HQ!
  • War opt-in time increased by 24 hours. This means each War will be one day shorter, giving you more time to recuperate between Wars. Rewards stay the same, allowing you to get the same prizes for less effort!
  • Based on player feedback, matchmaking has been adjusted for Season 5 to serve more even matchups whenever possible. This is an ongoing process, so please let us know how it affects your experience!

If you follow us on Facebook, you probably noticed the Hero polls we’ve had over the summer.

It’s been a long, grueling battle, but one Hero has come out on top above all others!

  • Heroes that spawn other units (drones, clones, etc.) now refund 75% of the Skill cost when those spawned units are automatically destroyed at the end of a Wave, allowing you to recover quicker

Chesterfield Chesterfield

Whoopsie Daisy! When we re-worked Chestefield’s Signal Flare, we removed some of its utility. We made it better, and gave you a reason to spend Skill Points and Bucks on it! Rejoice!

  • Signal Flare now provides Critical Damage Bonus to Chesterfield as you level it up

Cross Cross

Who knows poison better than Cross? To reflect this, we’ve added some much-needed utility to his Platinum Skill, Antidote. Easy to use, easy to Cleanse.

  • Antidote retains existing Health recovery, also adds a Cleanse effect that triggers every 30 seconds of mission time (at 30 seconds, 60 seconds, and 90 seconds)

Flatline Flatline

Flatline is one of the strongest Heroes in the current meta. Removing some of her personal sustain allows her to remain a threat while giving other Heroes time to shine.

  • Stay With Me only provides Health recovery for the target, not for Flatline herself

Hardscope Hardscope

This month’s Buff Focus is Hardscope! We’ve made some major improvements to BFG, making the Weapon Specialist an even bigger force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

  • BFG blast radius increased
  • BFG Armor reduction to affected enemies increased by 50%
  • BFG Ammo increased by 1

Salvatore Salvatore

Wait for it… wait for it! No! No more waiting! Salvatore’s removed the timers on his grenades, making his Ordnance skills much more effective!

  • Caustic Ordnance and Heavy Ordnance now explode on impact

I LOVE the Salvatore BUFF!!! Finally! Great update HH, good job once again!!! Can’t wait to fight for the new Scope skin and yay to the Min simulation happening this week!!! Woooo!!!



Seriously; if the September update included nothing but the adjustment to Stay With Me, this would still be the best update in recent memory. Thank you guys for listening.

War changes look incredible!!! I think reducing war length by another day will bring them right into that sweet spot where things stay interesting without getting stale. Great decision there.

And as if this update couldn’t possibly get any better, HQ bonuses are dropping :drooling_face:. Between this and Flatline’s nerf, I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do with all the spare time that I used to spend writing up forum complaints! Thank you guys for this.

My thoughts regarding the rest:

  • New hero looks cool. Diversity with the cultural background of heroes is something that HHG does really well. I’m excited to give him a try and curious about how well he’ll be able to differentiate himself from Halloway.

  • More skin events are fun. I know there’s been some backlash about the RNG factor of obtaining them in light of the Carabina skin but I know that’s what makes them sustainable from an effort:reward perspective. Looking forward to the Danger Sim returning again.

  • Chester fix is great. Still don’t think it’ll be enough to inject him into the meta, but hopefully it shakes things up.

  • Cross getting a buff is badly needed. The recurring cleanse is very interesting and could create some cool synergies.

  • Hardscope & Salvatore were also due for buffs. Great to see them back a little more ‘oomph’.

Good update. For the next one i would like to see fortress fixed and be as he once was.
Maybe add carabina skin in skin crate now since her event is over.


New Hero seems cool and the terracotta puns are great!

Dogface is a boss and a cornerstone of the game.

Can’t wait for Min’s Simulator!!!

Hardscope’s skin looks awesome. As mentioned already, would be nice if Carabina’s skin goes into the Skin crate - maybe two updates after it releases just to incentivise people to “get it while it’s hot.”

The Flatline nerf: thank GOD/DEVs. That’s been a loooooong time coming. But it wasn’t overkill that rendered her useless. Nice :+1:t5:

The buffs for Hardscope and especially Salvator are good, too. But it looks like you’ll only be able to get their frags from crates once the update drops :pensive:

Still, can’t wait for the new update :grin:

I made Chesterfield my strongest. Idk why, but I can’t wait to see this change.

Do kinda miss how his signal flare did DoT.

I like the changes made, I also like how the event is offering an exclusive skin. Perhaps throwing in one or two common skins with the newer characters (Min, Kobold, etc.), would be a welcome sight

I gotta say this though:

Hardscope and his skins being like Thanos trying to collect all the infinity stones:

update looks neat. Points of Note:
-Love the fact that we can get gilded tokens apart from one time events. Removing the grenades in exchange for other prizes in the gw crate was a step in the right direction
-Love the new hero. Can’t wait to see how he’ll be different from Halloway
-Mins was my best way to get lots of gold, so it was a good thing to have it back.
-The new skin for hardscope looks real neat.
-LOVE the hero changes. Cross’ should make him more useful, and Flat’s is very good at making her more balanced in reviving
-Overall, can’t wait for the update!
P.S. I can almost hear Godface say to Hardscope “That’s my boy!”

This update looks cool, the hero changes are also great!
Flatline needed again… Dunno what to say about this, at this stage flatline would probably die in 2 seconds. Flatline’s main attribute is her reviving skill, she should be focused on that aspect, not trying go make her as weak as possible. I know people generally use her in metas, maybe she needs a longer cooldown on revive, idk but making her super fragile isn’t really helping.
Salvatore and hardscope are getting some pretty good buffs, Salvatore will be a lot more useful now hopefully :slight_smile:
Danger simulator is back! Curious to see the rewards
Cross’s buff makes his plat more potent, however I wouldn’t mind the interval shortened to maybe every 10-20 secs.
Chesterfield, dunno what his silver’s supposed to do, it doesn’t do much unless ur fighting a gold mandrake.
Xianjiu looks great, definitely a unique design and culture

The skill didn’t change when you leveled it. Was pointless to spend bucks on it. The more interesting one is the platinum skill which still says pellets and since he doesn’t use pellets anymore would totally do nothing for him.


All around great changes. Most of the issues I had seem to be addressed with this update. I am also glad to see bronze grenades in the crate replaced with quick win tickets… but why only bronze? All grenades should realistically be replaced.
