So, the issue was that even for non-VIP players, the game would always try to connect to the chat as a way to promote it. It was always live and making request. Most of the time, this wasn’t a problem, but during peak moments—like when we have a big influx of new players from promotions and a lot of regulars online—it caused crashes.
Previous fixes were more like quick patches, but we knew a proper rework was needed. The team has already been working on it for the last 2 weeks, before this last crash.
What’s changing?
-
For VIP players, nothing will change—chat will work as usual.
-
For non-VIP players, the VIP chat won’t appear at all anymore (not even with a blur), just the informative text.
Internally, this means non-VIP players won’t have an active connection to the chat server, reducing unnecessary load. This should improve overall stability while keeping the experience the same for VIPs.
