I’m not saying Clyde cannot do damage: he was one of the best in the old days. But those time has long gone. His bronze is 50% 50%, his silver won’t come quicker than the verrill’s. So the chance to have him as a verrill killer is low. And he is fragile, verrill should be able to take him out without using happy trigger. So, IMO, no need to work on Clyde, even Kuno is much better than him, let alone those newer heroes including homerun
Everyone tends to believe he or she is the smartest person in the game. But we are not. Just look around other players, how many have ruby Clyde and how many bars those Clyde have? Then you can tell whether Clyde is good or not. Please don’t tell me everyone is just not clever enough to pump up Clyde
Have ruby Clyde = smartz
But in all honestly clyde ‘can’ kill verrils with ease if they aren’t paying attention because he is overlooked. However there are better mechs for the job.
they won’t dump resources into clyde because they know there are far better choices out there to work towards. At this point, it’s just common sense. Do you go for a weak robot or do you go for anything else that has more power and benefits. You have 133 heroes, it’s easy to see who the ones are to work on and who are the ones that are just out of their league. He may have been something at the start years ago, but now just a bucket of bolts.

:(((( you upset me, don’t follow the dark side and don’t give into the meta, follow the way of the robit sherif, enjoy the game, don’t grind it
Nobody has Odachi ruby yet Oda is one of the strongest dps monsters, well balanced by his low HP.
I think it’s all about priority. Even though Odachi is a superb dps i won’t suggest him over Verrill or Magnus and so on. There are simply heroes who have more priority for progression. Which does not mean they are better or worse.
Also, Clyde shreds Verrill. Mine is plat 2 i believe and i have managed to eat ruby Verrills with ease
Odachi, Kunoichi, Clyde, Astrix, carabina……. We have a long list of glass cannons. No matter how much damage they do, they don’t have much chance in PvP. Well, they are deadly in bounty as bonus heroes though. As said above, they are just not balanced.
By the way, I’m still amazed Clyde can melt verrill, unless verrill did not counter attack your Clyde ……… I will try someday
The point with glass cannons is that they have a weakness to compensate for their strength. Now, you can see that as a turnoff. But any hero like Phalanx or Heimlock or Magnus can offset that weakness. Some people tend to forget you can build teams around heroes
That I do agree. However, before entering the game, I have to assume my opponent is clever enough to have a balanced team and protects his damage dealer. So everyone is even and a glass cannon is still a glass cannon
Even thought my Clyde is a glass cannon, he tends to be left alone, they disregard him as in no way a possible threat. They don’t realize he’s there until lts too late :)))
If you rely on your opponent’s stupidity to win, then good luck
Jumping back the nerf topic: I am getting bored with voltage/verril, and call for voltage to be nerfed. Either delay her stunning for a few seconds at the beginning of the game, or limit the number of heroes she can hit in one go. It’s no fun to win like that anymore, and it’s even worse to lose to such a team……
Don’t touch her in missions though
They think Clyde is stupid, they don’t perceive him as a threat, and they don’t realize their mistake, until it’s too late…
Okay. So there’s 2 sides to this.
In extreme, while not required, she is nearly mandatory to complete one certain mission. Whatever happens to her in pvp is not as important as in extreme. It could be catastrophic for some people and missions.
My personal opinion is that her base damage is too high for the utility that she provides, that’s mostly it.
Although i have a decent suggestion to balance her out, although that would allow the catastrophe to happen, and that was that she only stuns people affected by her passive, or, have it like Kurtz where the stun can be ended early. Many possibilities, although all likely hurtful for extreme
Guess we are on the same side: don’t touch voltage in missions, but balance her stun in pvp.
Personally, I don’t rely on her damage in pvp that much: she stuns everyone at the beginning , then verrill finishes the job. But this is just not fun anymore. More importantly, no reliable counter measure available, which means sooner or later, most players will use the same team and game will be boring…….
The stun can easily be ended early with barrel >:))
Really? Nice. I tried other tanks, it works but not reliable. Maybe barrel will do better. Worth a try
If the developer would put all heros back to original status no nerf we wouldnt need heros buffed in the 1st place nerfing the heroes we had to pay for to build and upgrade got nerfed for no reason at all and all the community is upset about it put all heros back to original status with no nerfs
This is untrue. The scaling on newer heroes is generally much much higher. So reverting buffed heroes back would be a detrimental disadvantage for them and one advantage for newer heroes. They mostly do this to put them back in that line. And that is in some way smart because nowadays extreme is just absurdly tough, and better buff them to match than nerf them to be even worse at it
But if all heros didnt have the nerf they woukd be strong enough to compete in extre and once the heros are unnerfed then buff them dnt take away from the heros we pay for tonbuff them back up down the road
To be honest extreme could use a stat nerf or two, maybe some lower levels and bars to compensate for the nerfs.
