Will we get to know ahead of time or is this just gonna pop up a day before it starts?

this is just the Hero Spotlight. You wont get the calendar with the events until that gets posted. the update usually comes later.

Does this mean most wanted, 5 star, feature, and step up crates (all of these or will it be limited in any form)?

DECA has only released out one update since taking over, and with that everything has been pretty inconsistent. It’s a genuine question.

I definitely understand your point to this original question and the in-game pop up info is indeed late and is annoying because it’s late in-game to arrive to us.
The answer you seek is Yes.
If you review his complete response, you replied to, he did say that he “discussed with mods and it’s better to share events that will be live for sure than to publish calendar”, etc.
This means you probably missed or forgot that we have an active open discussion dated from 10 days ago from the last response, where he did this for us already in dates with a specific announcement titled “Where is the Update?’ It’s still open active and you can comment in it now, it’s not closed nor archived.
Just click on News & Announcements and scroll down.
This link is provided at the bottom.
As you see what he stated above, he says he will share live events this time for us instead of a calendar just as he has already done before, which he did before the update was released.

Interesting. Her silver skill affects ALL enemies on the battlefield and can stun them up to 5 secs. Her ruby skill… if same like fibre at level 100 makes her silver skill comes fully charged at the start of match… i think pvp match will be about who gets to trigger her silver skill first. I can foresee forums being flooded with calls for nerf. 
For players who play those extreme campaign modes and cant get past those difficult ones… Voltage stunning all enemies for 5 secs at the start of mission might just give you the break you need to beat those levels.

Maybe if they both activate it at the same time, it will stun them both, could be usful, could cause pain if they don’t both get triggered, for instance, buckets like to trigger at the same time leaving 3 seconds of silence
I just feel like this ability is for seven stars, also, SOMEONE GIVE TACTICIAN TO PROPHET!!! Give him a good use!!!
I hope so! Still fighting for extreme 7-4. Stun them with Shank as well maybe can help to pass the level

You also need to take into consideration those who dont have her. Imagine if your opponent have ruby voltage and you dont… what do you think will happen? 
My guess is your team gets stunned for 5 secs… by the time they recover, your opponent’s verrill is ready to sweep your entire team (if he isnt already doing so).
In fact… i can already see people running pvp teams with just ruby voltage and verrill and dominating lower level players who run full teams of plat/gold.

Sounds like voltage = pre nerf Marianas

With Marianas you can still shoot back. Voltage on the other hand, stuns. So you cant even run or shoot back. Switching heroes is also useless because your entire team is stunned.
If voltage silver skill triggers halo/kyoshi plat skills and kreiger gold skill… not only are you stunned for full 5 secs, you get struck by lightning as well. Pvp match can potentially be over in less than 5 secs and all you can do is watch.
