Alternative ways of charging abilities

There are certain heroes that are able to charge up their abilities via an alternative source besides hitting targets
Examples are Alvarez, who is able to charge up his bronze faster by being shot at. Same goes to Kurtz. I personally find these interesting mechanics to add to some heroes and to my opinion i’d love to see this in more heroes. It adds more depth into some heroes which allow for more experimenting.

Skills charge fast when you play vs auto. And then some heroes also boost the recharge speed.

Just rare to see them being use today because people focus on the meta or just 5 heroes. Which is a shame.
