This is the one part of the update that I’m actually impressed with, since it’s the ONE thing that focuses on long-term sustainability instead of direct revenue.
That’s pretty generous isn’t it? It’s the exact same missions that we already have, just ExTrEmE (aka - enemy levels tweaked, nothing more).
This is not a new path. A new path would suggest that we had some freedom over how heroes progress. This is just an extension of the existing linear upgrade ladder.
This is my favorite part of your response since it reveals that you didn’t actually read through carefully. The “new skills” are the proverbial explanation point at the end of what is ultimately a disappointing (read: nonexistent) list of actual new features.
We are getting three new skills. Instead of keeping every hero unique in their own way, they all get thrown into a generic, lazy bin of “DPS”, “Tank”, or “Support” with a generic, lazy skill to match.
TL;DR - This is not an update with new features. It’s just a supersized regular update.
Anyway… I’m quitting the game anyway, so what do I care. Stuck around to see what came from “3.0”, but I’m not investing time into more of the same.
Sad to see some people just are never happy with anything
Not gonna bother retorting again as nothing can clearly change your mind so wish you the best in future games you play, and hope they provide you with everything you personally want every update
Your hyperbolic misconstruction of my points doesn’t make them any less valid. This update was a chance for the devs to introduce new features and fix the countless issues that, month after month, take a backseat to short term cash-squeezes.
I wanted for a long time to believe that HH wasn’t one of the typical “prey on the financially foolish” games that you see repeated in mobile ads, but in the end, it’s nothing more than that.
I’m just offering my opinion, some open and honest feedback, and some questions…
It’s very difficult to get to Plat +5, and now there’s Plat +6. I have 30 plus ten star heroes, all Plat +4 because the drop rate to get the gear items needed for Plat +5 takes an obscene amount of stamina to collect the gear items. I can’t even imagine what it would take to get to Plat +6.
Just an update example from the past… Back when we wanted Gauntlet changes, we got them, but it became harder and longer to get through all 5 levels. Quick win was added, but you have to use 100 quick win tickets. 2 new levels were added, but they cost gold or coins that you can get if you grind in PvP.
I like new content, but not when it makes it harder to stay competitive and makes the game play experience frustrating. I will, however, reserve final judgement until this anniversary update is out.
Will we be getting new bounty arenas? Will future bounties feature Ruby level bounties right away?
I’m curious if the drop rate has been improved a little. We all know how it goes, you get an item, a few exp, an item, exp then item and then a long string of nothing but exp. it’s almost like it’s predetermined what and when an item drops. If it was something that happened randomly, ok. This however, happens all the time and anyone who has used quick wins to get gear knows exactly what I’m talking about
I am happy with the game, for the most part, and appreciate the work the devs have put into everything. I just wish they would address some of the issues that have not really been touched in (literal) years.
No new PVP maps in over a year and the same Gorgon Wakes raid with a SLIGHT change to the beginning makes it hard to stay interested in. Gorgon has been almost identical for nearly 3 years now. I can rarely even find someone to trade with and do it since the rewards aren’t worth the time/effort. Who wants to do 6 exact same GW raids to get mostly grenades that are useless for the majority of people? If nothing else a quick and simple fix like combining all rewards into 1 GW raid would suffice. That way people could at least only do 2 GW raids a day with trades and be done, rather than having to grind 6 out.
The extreme mode sounds interesting, but it’s going to be the exact same story missions we already played on normal and hard mode. The increased challenge will be nice, but after beating it and auto winning for the gear it’s not going to give a lot of extra longevity to the game. I would have rather had some cool new missions to see what’s next with the story and progress that part, but maybe that’s just me.
